Who are we looking for?The Payments and Banking platform is undergoing several changes in keeping State Street's strategic and client needs. As a result, we are looking for a software development engineer in Web application development using JAVA, Node.js and Oracle. Knowledge of cash position management systems or payment initiation system is desirable. The position requires effective communication and technical skills with a willingness to learn and implement best of breed tools and solutions. The candidate must be willing to engineer solutions, work on new technology projects and improve the current web application stack.

What you will be responsible forDrive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug code for business applications.Develop web applications with test driven development using Java/J2EE, CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Maven and Git).Participate in analysis, solutions design and delivery of Cloud-based web application.Developing and maintaining frontend, middle-tier and backend modules using Java, Spring web services, MQ, KAFKA, SQL and Cloud technologies.Work closely with developers, architects and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.Generate operational readiness reports to provide a real-time view of payment transactions.Conduct reconciliation of reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of payment data.Develop visually compelling dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and verification procedures.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide actionable insights.Develop application solutions collaborating with both on-shore and off-shore teams.Experience with relational databases (Oracle).Experience with React.js or any other UI framework is preferred.Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle for Iterative, Agile, and traditional approaches.

Education & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field.Experience with programming languages such as Java and SQL; familiarity with cloud is a plus.Experience with Agile software development methodology and version control systems like GitHub.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Good documentation skills to maintain clear and organized project documentation.
