Role Overview:
As the Data Engineer and Analytics Team Leader, you'll design, build, and maintain data structures to support our ministry’s data and analytics strategy. You’ll use top-tier ETL/ELT tools to develop data pipelines, integrate data from various sources, and manage our enterprise data warehouse (EDW). Lead and mentor a team of skilled Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Analysts to create a robust data environment that supports our mission.
What We're Looking For:
BA/BS in Math, Stats, Business, CS, or Data Science (master’s preferred).7 - 10 years of data engineering/analysis experience.Passion for leveraging your technical skills to support our mission.
What You'll Do:
Lead Projects:
Manage project planning, requirements documentation, development, and testing. Stay proficient in ETL/ELT processes and BI reports/dashboards.Data Modeling:
Create and optimize dimensional data models for BI performance in collaboration with analysts.ETL/ELT Development:
Integrate data from Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL databases into our EDW.Data Pipelines:
Design, build, and manage automated data pipelines. Ensure efficiency and reliability.Standard Operating Procedures:
Develop CI/CD practices for data integrations and BI solutions. Create training materials and manuals.Code Reviews:
Lead code reviews to resolve errors and optimize solutions.Critical Projects:
Direct data projects, mentor team members, and keep leadership informed.Data Strategy:
Assist in developing data governance and management strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and usability.Data Governance:
Participate in implementing data governance and quality capabilities. Define business rules and ensure enterprise-wide data usage standards.
