Job Overview:
As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, your role on the team could range from being responsible for:Defining and managing quality, detailed user stories and supporting artifacts that enable the team to deliver working software aligned to business objectives.Completing Discovery on upcoming features by understanding current state systems, data, APIs, stored procedures, business processes, and pain points to allow for the creation of a future state solution.Interpreting business and system documentation to write and execute test cases which provide complete requirements coverage within the team’s sprints.Communicating between business and IT to understand the business's needs and proposed solutions in order to advance the team through their sprint cycles with quality.Being part of the delivery team, facilitating clear and open communication between business stakeholders, developers, architects, vendors, and the product owner to enable high-quality stories and artifacts in an Agile context.Scope of Activities:
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will demonstrate competencies across these dimensions:Agile Practice & Team Role
Working in continuous delivery mode, analyzing and delivering features iteratively.Consistently demonstrating strong understanding of and adherence to Agile processes and principles for effective delivery.Participating in Scrum ceremonies.Working collaboratively with team members to meet the sprint goal(s).Requirement Elicitation & User Story Management and Testing
Responsible for eliciting, documenting, and refining detailed business requirements in the form of user stories.Creating supporting requirements artifacts deliverables such as business process flows, system interaction diagrams, and data mapping/ERDs to meet development and stakeholder needs.Responsible for complete and clearly communicated acceptance criteria and test case creation related to stories as a part of backlog grooming.Designing test cases to include all steps and expected results in a format that can be executed manually within a sprint or provided to the test automation team for development.Executing test cases and recording results properly, including screenshots and defect management.Working with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Developers to determine when test results do not match expected results as per specification.Required Credentials and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on information technology projects.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile project-based environment.Proficient with user stories and agile ceremonies, principles, and frameworks.Experienced with data analysis and mapping for system integration and API understanding.Understanding of various types of software architecture: client-server, web-based applications, web services, data schemas, SQL.Experienced with testing support.Experience as an Agile team member having delivered working software with vended resources.Clear and concise communication style.Positive, flexible, and constructive attitude.Experience with usability best practices.Comfortable communicating to all levels within an organization.Comfortable communicating technical concepts to various levels of non-technical audiences.Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.Preferred Credentials and Experience:
Experience utilizing Jira.Experience with agile projects transforming legacy functions into new solutions.Experienced working with remote teams.Industry experience specifically in Eligibility and Enrollment methods of practice/delivery models, business rules, and processes across benefit programs.Experience delivering presentations to varied audiences.
