Quaker Houghton is a global publicly traded company with a unique collaborative culture that supports career growth for its associates and offers competitive compensation and benefit programs.Summary of Position:Reporting to the Senior Director of Data, Analytics, and Integrations, the Senior Data & Integration Architect will be hands-on in developing the evolution of the data architecture capability at Quaker Houghton. As the data operations scale globally identify, analyze and proactively recommend strategies to leverage information assets for business impact, ensuring consistent, scalable data delivery throughout the company.Key responsibilities include shaping and leading the enterprise data strategy, creating an executable technology roadmap that ensures a scalable, secure and high performing data platforms are in place underpinned by robust data management processes. Continuously assessing and evaluating new technologies, best practices and security needs for Quaker Houghton’s data.Data Strategy and Architecture :Manage the complete lifecycle of the organization’s enterprise data strategy, ensuring scalable, high performing and secure data architecture and underlying technology to support Quaker Houghton’s analytical and integration needs. Including the definition of data standards, development and documentation of data models, metadata structures, data warehousing and data management processes ensuring data availability, speed of delivery and ongoing compliance.Data Integration :Collaborate with business units and IT teams to integrate data from various systems into the defined architecture and systems. Assessing technologies and driving the implementation of tools and the strategy for data integration, migration, and transformation across systems. Ensuring the seamless data flow between internal systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications, including the establishment of monitoring, key performance measures and reconciliation processesTechnology Delivery :Actively engage in all projects involving the implementation of data management tools and technologies related to data warehouses, data lakes, and integration.Security and Compliance :Ensuring strict adherence to data security policies collaborating with cybersecurity teams to manage data risks and vulnerabilities.Accountabilities :Manage the full lifecycle of the organization’s enterprise data strategy, simplifying the data storage structure and technology, ensuring alignment with business goals.Provide technical leadership in the implementation of scalable and secure data architecture with KPI based performance and data accuracyShape the development of the data integration strategy, including tool selection and implementationPut data management and data quality processes, policies and metrics in place and ensure ongoing compliance and data availabilityProvide technical team leadership over all data aspects of projectsAligns technology solutions to tangible business outcomes and resultsBuild, develop, and maintain data modelsCreate data flow, architecture and technical documentsProvide consulting support on all organization data-related solutions (program design, report design, data feed design, data aggregation, etc.)Set organizational KPI and measures, driving visibility and accountabilityRecruit, train, develop, and supervise data and analytics analyst talentPerforms management responsibilities to include but are not limited to involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.Perform and document audits regularly according to company policies. Report findings to management.Ensure solutions are developed with a focus on long-term maintainability and proactively address potential operational bottlenecks, reducing the need for frequent user intervention or manual supportKeep abreast of new technologies for the purpose of recommending changes in existing programs or new programs warranted by such developments.Work Environment :Sedentary category requiring exertion up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and uses negligible amounts of force to move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.Occasional: Standing: Remaining on one's feet without moving.Frequent: Sitting: Remaining in seated positionFrequent: Reaching below shoulders: Extending arms in any direction below shoulders.Continuous: Communication: Expressing or exchanging written/verbal/electronic information.Continuous: Vision: Clarity of near vision at 20 inches or less and far vision at 20 feet or more with depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision.Education Experience :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience10+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related fields.Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration strategies.Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency with ETL tools, data warehousing, and database management systems.Familiarity with analytics and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)3+ years of Azure or AWS cloud services and data ecosystem exposureSkills :Applies innovative approaches to complex problems, improving existing solutions.Has a clear project orientation with experience in delivering solutions under very tight timelines, on time and to specificationAble to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities, with minimal supervisionHas a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-initiative and results-oriented motivation.
