MEMBER SERVICES DESK LEAD PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Express Member Services Desk Lead's purpose is to be a leader and resource to all employees within the company, focused on delivering the highest level of customer service to our members. The Desk Lead will help coordinate front desk and check-in activities for Express Fitness and facilitate the sale of all Express Fitness memberships and services. The Desk Lead is a key contributor to the day-to-day operations of the facility, maintaining the growth of the company, while immersing themselves into the membership base in order to better understand their needs.

MEMBER SERVICES DESK LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include helping field and return telephone calls, checking members into the facility, signing members up for company offerings and services, following basic instruction provided by Express Fitness Site Manager, handling a cash drawer and collecting payments, and providing superior customer service to the membership base and guests of the facility. Further responsibilities include meeting monthly sales targets (BHI’s) set by the Express Fitness Site Manager, inputting new member data into various software platforms, and delivery of events and promotions such as open houses, expos, or holiday sales. The Desk Lead may also be called upon to assist with solving or escalating customer service issues, managing the customer service sales experience and general public perception of the sales department and company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORKING CONDITIONS:

Applicant must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 (5-6) hour shift M-F and be available to help cover additional shifts when needed both at front desk and childcare. This position requires the ability to work 4-8 hour shifts. It also requires the ability to work nights and weekends depending on the business’ needs.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience in customer service or hospitality role preferred

Basic computer skills and knowledge required

Prior cash register experience in a busy environment is preferred

Sales Experience is a plus

COMPENSATION:
