We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux systems administration, engineering, and architecture. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of Linux-based systems and infrastructure located in multiple facilities and data centers. The ideal candidate will ensure that all enterprise Linux systems are operable, highly available, secure, and scalable. As an Infrastructure Engineer Level II, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior engineers.Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Design & Implementation:Design and deploy Linux-based infrastructure to support business applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business.Configure and maintain physical and virtual servers, network devices, storage solutions, and cloud services.Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to design systems that meet application and infrastructure requirements.Systems Administration & Maintenance:Manage and monitor servers (Linux, Windows) and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and patch management.Conduct regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning/testing.Proactively identify and resolve issues with infrastructure components such as servers, storage, and networking.Security & Compliance:Implement and maintain security measures across the environment, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls.Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation, system hardening, and incident response.Collaboration & Support:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Network, SecOps, DBAs) to integrate Linux/Windows systems into the broader IT infrastructure.Provide advanced technical support for production issues and participate in on-call rotations for critical infrastructure.Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on best practices for Linux infrastructure management and administration.Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.Technical Skills:Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems, especially RedHat, CentOS.Expertise in managing Linux servers in production environments. Windows server knowledge is a plus.Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs,) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi).Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.Proficiency in scripting tools (Bash, Python, PowerShell).Understanding of storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Cloud) and backup/recovery processes.Knowledge of configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.Qualifications:Experience:7+ years of experience as a Linux Engineer or Systems Administrator in a production environment.Proven experience with Linux systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.Linux certification(s) such as RHCE, LFCS, or LPIC is a plus.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to handle complex troubleshooting and critical system failures under pressure.Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business and technical requirements.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Availability for on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents outside of business hours.
