Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency working with:Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, users administration, file system, software, and servicesUnderstanding of servers and various storage RAID configurationActive Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setupFundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, FirewallFundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, EncryptionScripting: PowerShell, bash, ksh or perl for automating routine tasksExperienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization effortsDisaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and dataPatch and firmware installation and managementStrong customer service mindset, providing +1 end user support experienceThe ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with a safety mindset. This individual must also exercise good judgment, integrity, and render sound business decisions. The applicant should possess strong oral and written communication skills and be able to produce documentation on solutions and system design.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT Support.Strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage including scripting experience for automation.Ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed.Ability to provide off-hour, on-call support for workstation, server and other system related issues that requires travel to various supported sites.Willingness and ability to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work that must be done either prior to or after normal business hours.Means and ability to travel to various Company locations.Must Have:Active DirectoryActive monitoring of the entire infrastructure and troubleshoot serverApplication ServersBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cyber security, system administration, or a related role.Proven experience in cyber security & system administration, including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle).Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Familiarity with bulk deployment tools and automation.Scripting or programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation is a plus.Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures.Experience with network security tools such as NIDS/NIPS/Proxy/Secure Web Gateway/Firewall.Experience with AV/EDR/XDR solutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Versatility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new technologies.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Nice To Have:2nd and 3rd-level technical supportAbility to interpret, modify and write scripts and SQL queriesAnalysis of cyber activity / threatsExperience with SplunkFailover Manager administration with clustering VMwareNutanixDepartment: Preferred VendorsThis is a contract position.
