Tejon Ranch Company (NYSE: TRC) is a growth-oriented, diversified real estate development and agribusiness company whose principal asset is its 270,000-acre land holding located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 25 miles south of Bakersfield.

The company is currently seeking applicants for GIS positions at all levels to provide spatially accurate and intelligence-based geographic information and analysis to support business-critical decision-making efforts centered around its core operations: Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Development, Resort/Residential Project Planning & Development, Mineral & Water Resources, Farming & Ranch Operations, and Natural Resources.

The GIS work conducted at Tejon Ranch primarily focuses on the development and maintenance of the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center, a 1,450 acres commercial/industrial complex. Efforts include the design, development, maintenance, and analysis of GIS data relating to land planning, engineering, marketing, and automated mapping/facility management (AMFM). Practical experience working with wet/dry utility data and easement/right-of-way Title research is preferred but not required.

The collective role of the GIS team includes supporting and assisting in the maintenance of SQL databases, developing web applications for ArcGIS Portal, migrating AutoCAD drawings into AMFM data models, performing coordinate geometry (COGO) and heads-up digitizing, conducting geoprocessing and spatial analysis, capturing ortho imagery and photography using a DJI drone, conducting in-the-field GPS and attribute editing, and providing high-end cartographic map production using ESRI’s ArcGIS Enterprise suite of products.

Preferred Experience Levels:ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION: ESRI Technical Certificate and/or Professional GIS instruction validating entry-level mapping, visualization, editing, and geodatabase workflow tasks OR equivalent 12-18 months of ArcGIS Desktop experience.MID-LEVEL POSITION: 3-5 years ArcGIS Pro experience.HIGH-LEVEL POSITION: 5-8 years ArcGIS Enterprise experience.Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite: Acrobat Pro, Adobe Illustrator, etc.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.Experience with ArcGIS Pro 3.x and versioned editing.Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Systems.Experience with ArcGIS Portal Map Builder or Experience Builder web app developer software.Experience with Microsoft’s SQL Server RDMS Administration.Ability to read COGO metes & bounds surveys.Ability to decipher engineering plans.Experience migrating AutoCAD drawings into GIS environment.UAS pilot’s license and/or experience operating a drone.Good database entry skills.Good oral and written communication skills.Good research skills, particularly regarding title encumbrances.Good project management skills.
