Triage failed automated test executions and report defects when appropriateMaintain automated test jobs in an automated deployment pipelineCoordinate bug hunts to gather user feedback for new featuresIdentify useful test cases that identify and isolate faultsBuild trust and maintain relationships with team members of product management and developmentParticipate in design and code reviewsPerform exploratory testing to identify high risk areas, refine requirements, and isolate bugs to increase testability of applicationCoordinate test efforts for projects involving multiple teams to ensure appropriate test coverageContribute robust, well architected solutions to the shared test frameworkExpert in the architecture, design, and customer use cases for their team's servicesIdentify acceptance criteria for complex projects and determine priorities for test automation to balance operational efficiency with sufficient test coverageIdentify areas of risk for performance, longevity, and architectural robustness by designing and running longevity and destructive testsAssist support engineers with escalated customer issues by reading logs, explaining intended behaviors, and identifying defectsMinimum Requirements
2+ years of experience in software engineering and JavaScriptIntermediate proficiency of the followingAbility to analyze and interpret data using software analytics services such as New Relic and SumoLogic to monitor services and diagnose problemsAbility to use automation and configuration management frameworks such Ansible or PuppetAbility to use version control systems such as GitHub or BitbucketAbility to use delivery pipeline automation and configuration tools such as JenkinsKnowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA)Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Knowledge of object-oriented design patternsKnowledge of multi-tier web applicationsKnowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2 and S3Knowledge of agile testing methodologies and best practices for continuous delivery (CD)Understand how to use application frameworks such as Spring and Express to develop applicationsGood verbal and written communication skillsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related work experienceThe ideal candidate would also have experience with:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
