Summary:
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), Position Description Number PDT5682000 and is part of the WY Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, Wyoming National Guard. Military affiliation is not required.Responsibilities:
This position is located in the Wyoming Army National Guard's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG) (G4/J4), Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO). The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to Wyoming National Guard activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.
* This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. *Requirements:U.S. Citizenship Required.This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.Employees are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and approval.Must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the position.Covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required.May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft.Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment.Position designated as Essential Personnel.Qualifications:
Must possess specialized experience and at least one year of experience equivalent to a GS-09 with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties as an IT Specialist (Network) as it relates to Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-I). Must possess at least 3 years in IA Technology or related field, experience in Network Environment (NE) and advance Computing Environment (CE).Education:
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Degree must be in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.Additional Information:
