The Fall Protection Construction-Installation Specialist will install fall protection systems in a timely manner, by fabricating, inspecting, and installing fall protection components in accordance with the budgeted time frame.Pay:
$22-34/hour with bonus eligibilityESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Fabricate and install products using standardized practices and methods.Read and interpret building plans and drawings.Compare actual site conditions to engineering drawings for discrepancies, coordinate with onsite trades as necessary, and communicate any issues to supervisor and project management.Perform basic math calculations.Perform quality control and standardization for all phases of installation.Proactively monitor, track, and take necessary action to complete projects and report daily progress to supervisor.Complete work at heights, such as on rooftops, elevated platforms, or other areas where fall protection personal protective equipment may be required for safety if other guards are not in place.Access the roof via aerial lift, ladders, platforms, or other means to perform work and mobilize materials safely within company policies and procedures.Maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability, function, and safety.Transport various items (e.g., tools, equipment, supplies) to and while on the job site.Operate company and rental vehicles safely.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Ability to travel (overnight/multiple night stays based on supported projects) to various US-based locations to perform installations at client locations.Understanding of construction trades and installation work.Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.Understanding of engineering, architecture, and other construction drawings.Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.Ability to work independently and in team settings.Other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:Education:High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.Qualifications:Experience with installation or construction projects, fall protection preferred.Ability to read blueprints.Experience with scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and forklifts.Understands/has training in OSHA/ANSI fall protection standards.Ability to pass background checks, drug tests and MVR checks.Key Competencies:Critical thinkingProblem solvingQuick and continuous learningInterpersonal communicationResults drivenCustomer awarenessCollaborationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform duties.Must be able to meet the weight capacity of design parameters of fall protection systems (between 130 to 310 lbs.).Understands the exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.LJB Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
