The Imaging Software team is seeking a Senior Navigation and Localization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop software to geo-register and analyze sensor imagery collected from a moving platform. Successful candidates will have experience with visual-inertial navigation and image processing.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Implement software to estimate the position of a moving platform based on multiple sensor inputs, including those from inertial and imaging systemsDevelop algorithms for accurately geo-registering, enhancing, and analyzing imagery collected from a moving platformCollaborate closely with other experts on the team, including perception, tracking & navigation, and systems engineers to deliver cutting-edge, real-time imaging systemsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience3+ years of C++ experienceExperience with sensor calibration, sensor fusion, state estimation, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) techniquesExperience with navigation, localization, and positioning systems design and developmentExperience working with state estimation methods such as Kalman filtering, Extended Kalman filtering, and other estimation techniquesMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience applying real-time pose localization algorithms from robotics to enhance the accuracy and robustness of aerospace vehicle navigationImage processing and Computer Vision experience will be a strong plusAbility to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
