Summary
The UI / UX Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, prototyping and delivering compelling and intuitive experiences for our customer facing applications. Working closely with the product teams and digital analysts, the individual will translate ideas into customer experiences, flows, wireframes and mockups. He or she will also help develop strategies around conducting usability tests and integrating findings into the final output.
Essential Functions
Translate product strategy and user requirements into full-fledged user experiences, creating pixel perfect mockups, user flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes to convey complex interactions.
Understand and interpret brand, user and business needs, in order to develop innovative, creative and results-oriented digital solutions.
Conduct competitive research and analytic rigor in designing our user experiences.
Optimize existing user interface designs and test new ideas before implementing.
Work with engineers to construct dynamic, interactive designs that are technically feasible.
Create journey maps, user profiles, user cases/scenarios, and personas that are aligned with project and business goals.
Communicate and ardently defend good user experience design to stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge working in design tools such as Figma or similar.
Rapid wireframing and UI prototyping to produce interactive experiences for usability testing.
Able to provide a portfolio of design projects based on web / mobile applications.
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Invision and Sketch tools advanced required.
Adobe Photoshop advanced required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in Psychology, Visual Design, Communications, Computer Science or related field.
H.S. diploma/GED required; Vocational training in related field and/or experience with industry tools.
Five (5) years or more Designing customer-facing products on web and mobile required.
Five (5) years or more Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers required.
Invision and Sketch tools advanced required.
Adobe Photoshop advanced required.
