As a Software Engineer, you will strive to deliver quality and timely implementations to satisfy business requirements. Working with a motivated team, you will play important roles in developing our next-generation micro-service-based platform, which serves millions of users on our auction.com marketplace.Responsibilities/Duties:Develop API implementations based on business requirementsCollaborate with front-end and mobile developers on the integration of elementsMaintain and support existing backend systemsParticipate in team planning and provide input for requirement definitionsWork with QA and SRE to manage timely delivery of features to productionParticipate in day-to-day agile development activitiesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent knowledge in Java/KotlinDemonstrated ability on implementation of API supporting high throughput and high concurrencyUnderstanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workaroundsExcellent knowledge on Database and SQLExcellent troubleshooting skills for efficient bug fixing and code maintenanceDemonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviewsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability working with remote teamsKnowledge of NOSQL databases desiredRequired Qualifications:B.S.
