And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We have an immediate opening for a Project Design Mechanical Engineer in the Dublin, OH area.This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Upon application, you will be asked qualifying questions that will be used only in relation to the US Government Security Clearance required for this role.As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Mechanical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers, that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure, or add new services. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will use your mechanical expertise to:Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects.Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.If you meet these qualifications, exude passion, and enjoy the challenge of innovative projects at hyper-scale, this job is for you!BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.- 3+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities.- 3+ years experience with data center builds, network engineering, systems engineering will be vital.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget.- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.- Have fluent knowledge of continuous operating redundant mechanical systems, cooling systems, airflow containment, and building management systems.- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.- Registered Professional Engineer.- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
