As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of Publix’s adoption of new technologies and practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical innovation and make a significant impact on Publix’s technology landscape.Your role will involve mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and driving initiatives to reduce developer friction.Responsibilities:Collaborate with diverse teams to pinpoint and address intricate enterprise challenges.Lead initiatives to streamline development processes, reducing developer friction by implementing tools and practices that enhance productivity and collaboration.Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to industry standards and Publix’s internal guidelines.Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Lead the design and development of scalable enterprise grade software solutions.Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts, implementing effective solutions.Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend beneficial adoptions.Define technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.Conduct code reviews and technical discussions to promote quality and innovation.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or other technical/analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on .NET and C#.4+ years of experience in containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.2+ years of experience with event streaming platforms, particularly Kafka.2+ years of experience with Azure and/or GCP.Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding technical teams.Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative and scalable solutions.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enhance software delivery.Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact.Experience in promoting and implementing best practices in software development.Preferred Qualifications
