Engineer and implement Voice over IP systems to satisfy client telephony requirements.Create project plans detailing steps and level of effort required to complete client project goals.Execute on the project plan to implement client goals.Advise vendors and clients on Best Current Practice as it relates to project steps and project goals.Provide operational and technical support to client and client staff during implementation and after project goals are met.Manage Client, Vendor, and Vendor-Client communications to ensure timely completion of project goals.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a team member.VoIP/telecom experience with SIP, MGCP, ISDN, and/or SS7.Sound conceptual understanding of the US national telephone network.UNIX Shell Scripting and Java Programming skills.Linux, UNIX, or Solaris platform system administration, tuning, and maintenance.50% travel required.
