This position will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Corient’s IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations across all departments. This position will report to VP, Strategy & Operations.Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Monitoring: Proactively monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our network, servers, and virtual environments to ensure high availability and performance.Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard our systems, data, and network against unauthorized access and cyber threats.Administer the day-to-day administration of the existing SharePoint and Teams environment to include efforts in enhancing and maintaining SharePoint sites, creating team and department portals/sites, workflows, reports and web parts, architecture, and user support.Provide technical expertise to develop, support, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain the SharePoint, Teams, and other O365 Apps.Administer the environments and ensure they are compliant with good practices and standards.Design, develop, implement content management, forms, and customizations where needed.User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end users on hardware, software, and network-related issues; resolve problems promptly to minimize downtime.Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery plans; regularly test backups to ensure data integrity and availability in case of emergencies.System Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute system upgrades, installations, and configurations; manage patch deployment and ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches.Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and IT assets; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Collaboration and Training: Work collaboratively with IT team members and other departments to support technology initiatives and projects; provide training and guidance to users as needed.Work with end users and other support staff to configure, troubleshoot and maintain all layers of Microsoft 365 platform.Support migration to Office 365 using tools like Sharegate.Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role in a corporate IT environment, preferably within the financial services industry.Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and Microsoft Windows Server environments.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).Proficiency in system security measures and best practices; familiarity with firewall administration and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus.Physical Requirements
This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
