We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Our team helps customers migrate both Commercial and Open-Source databases to the AWS cloud while providing a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for customers to innovate and unlock new potential. As a Database Specialist Solution Architect, you will be helping our customers to migrate the most complex large-scale databases to AWS and help customers and partners use Cloud computing web services to build new solutions, faster, and at lower cost.Roles/Responsibilities

Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.Minimum Requirements

7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of database-driven applications or infrastructures5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources5+ years of Oracle Database implementation, operations and/or solution deployment experience in a business-critical, high-availability context5+ years of implementation, operations and/or solution deployment on OCI7+ years of running workloads on Exadata7+ years of implementation, operations deployment of Oracle RAC-based solutionsHands-on experience as a Oracle DBA, data warehouse architect or database developer.Knowledge of the underlying infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware OptimizationImplementation and tuning experience of Databases including knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization, Data Migration and IntegrationBachelor's degree or Advanced Technical degrees in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics; working knowledge of modern software development practices such as agile methodologies and DevOpsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
