Job Responsibilities:
The candidate for this position will have a solid and proven track record working on technology projects/programs preferably in the Financial Industry space.
The Business Analyst will work with business areas, vendors, and internal IT partners to understand project scope and translate business requirements into technology requirements.
Understand, compare, and document current vs target state.
Perform thorough gap analysis for meeting project target state.
Participate or lead integration discussions with IT counterparts and stakeholders.
Depict desired system and data flows, document data mappings, technical requirements, and work with various stakeholders to identify enhancements, customization, or changes to each sub-system with end-to-end system integrity and downstream impacts in mind.
Use appropriate diagramming and communication tools to facilitate productive conversations to reach project objectives.
Ensure alignment with architectural and security standards in partnership with the delivery manager.
Produce appropriate artifacts with thoroughness, associating systems with business purpose and functionality.
Support project analysis, design, build, and test phases collaborating with design, infrastructure, network, QA, and various partners acting as internal SME.
Support the delivery manager with execution paperwork and ticket process as well as drive building of the execution runbook in collaboration with various partners.
Support all business requirements including downstream application impacts.
The candidate will be able to process information applying critical thinking and breaking things down.
Thorough understanding of different technologies and how they relate to business outcomes.
This position requires an outgoing, motivated, confident, and ambitious individual. In addition to technical skills, it is expected that the candidate will also possess excellent customer-facing skills (both written and verbal).
Skills and Experience Required:
8+ years performing the role of BSA within a technology organization in either the financial or tech industry.
Conversion/M&A experience in banking is a must.
Technical background.
Experience leading systems analysis on complex waterfall & agile projects requiring integrations between multiple applications and engaging numerous stakeholders.
Experience in technology/application/solution analysis for business requirements, flowcharts, and communication.
Vizio flowcharting and system/process/data flow diagramming experience.
Experience in Systematics impacts and savings time.
Experience in Credit card, home equity, lines of credit, and/or other residential product accounts.
Experience and good understanding of flat file formats and data mapping.
Attention to detail and ability to probe/research for accuracy of facts and documentation.
Sharp documentation and fact-finding skills.
Strong experience in end-to-end execution of gap analysis, conversion, and testing.
Experience with Waterfall and Software Development Lifecycle & related deliverables.
Excellent working session facilitation skills.
Experience with Agile/JIRA.
Responsive, confident, and prompt communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Ability to compartmentalize and problem-solve.
Desired Skills:
Previous Financial Institution Experience.
