HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)Our Systems Administrator will perform the following tasks:Provides day to day systems administration and support of production and non-production environments in accordance with agency IT policy and guidelines.Manages the support and maintenance of the CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux Operating System environments.Manages and troubleshoots activities associated with systems maintenance tasks such as system backups, recovery and file system maintenance.Manages and troubleshoots activities associated with activation, installation and testing of software upgrades and computer components.Manages and troubleshoots activities associated with maintenance of accounts, passwords, keys, certificates, certificate authorities, and truststores.Manages System Accreditation/Reaccreditation activities and maintenance of associated corporate tools (e.g., LatteArt and Biscotti).Provides technical guidance to a team of Systems Administrators on complex problems and/or issues.Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.Assists in the creation, triage, assignment, and maintenance of systems administration related tickets.Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Additional Responsibilities:Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.Minimum Qualifications:Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Desired Qualifications:Six (6) years of experience (combined) with Unix, Linux.Demonstrated knowledge of analytical needs and requirements, query syntax, data flows, and traffic manipulation.Meet one of the following two skill sets:Skill set one: programming skills in C, Perl or Bourne Shell along with experience providing system administration of a database-centric system and knowledge of RDBMS, SQL Server and database security features.Skill set two: experience administering Solaris, UNIX, LINUX systems, or SQL Server 2000/2005 RDBMS and SGI/HP hardware is required.
