Summary:Provide leadership within the Integration Specialist (IS) group in support of the IS Manager. This leader will be responsible for the leadership of a subset of the IS group for successful execution of all programs while coordinating across groups and departments within the company to achieve the highest customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Direct responsibility for the work produced within the group of assigned Integration Specialists (Cost / Time / Quality).

Assigns job tasks to the assigned group utilizing SAFe based on priority and suitability, and monitors project cost, progress, and quality to completion. Frequent review of project budgets with suggestions of updates as required.

Provides individual engineers with technical leadership, coordination and direction within the area of responsibility.

Review work across all programs in the given area of responsibility, helps define project technical approach and process improvement needs.

Ensures convergence and re-use of previous designs is considered when applicable.

Provides technical writing and cost estimates for proposals and ECPs.

Supports the manager in interpreting and enforcing overall company policies and goals, and defining and enforcing standards within the group.

Review staffing of the group including review of work required on upcoming (forecast) programs. Make recommendations regarding hiring of new employees to maintain program schedules.

Provides orientation for new employees and helps group members develop new skills.

Conducts goal setting, continuous feedback and performance assessments.

Oversees development of assigned employees through the use of training plans.

Based on staffing levels, this group leader will fill in as the Integration Specialist on some programs to cover some short term staffing shortages.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:Minimum of four year degree preferably in engineering or Computer Science.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight simulation or related industry.

Experience with cost estimating, budgeting/scheduling, and task performance management.

Experience with simulation product lifecycle.

Must have an understanding of computer software and computer architectures used in flight simulation and current software development methodologies and tools.

Technical areas of expertise must include current computer hardware architectures, real time operating systems, software scheduling, distributed computational systems, real time interfaces, reflective memory technologies and networks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively lead technical teams.

All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment:Work sometimes performed in an environment where irritants such as noise, temperature, and lighting variations may exist, but there is little chance of injury, accident, or occupational health problems. Moderate to high levels of stress are sometimes experienced with this position.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Must be able to travel both domestic and internationally.

Must be familiar with and be able to work on simulation training devices, including using access stairs and ladders.

Must be able to work overtime and off-shift.
