Talascend is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for a direct career opportunity with our client in Great Falls, MT.

This role involves managing equipment for monitoring and controlling power generation assets, including battery, solar, and wind facilities. The Project Electrical Engineer will lead technical projects related to electric generation, manage contractors, ensure project design compliance, and support operations and maintenance.RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee safe, efficient operation of controls and measurement systems at renewable energy sites.Support on-site technicians in daily operations and control issues.Conduct engineering studies and prepare technical reports.Coordinate with stakeholders for the planning and construction of new electric generation equipment.Manage external engineering services and review engineering studies for compliance.Track and ensure regulatory compliance for all operational activities.Prepare and oversee detailed design specifications and bid packages.Provide technical input to project planning and support budgetary analyses.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.Minimum five years of experience in industrial or electric utility power systems.Advanced project management skills with experience in technical and regulatory compliance.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and presentation tools.Ability to travel and work in both office and field environments, including occasional climbing of wind turbines.Valid driver’s license.We thank all applicants for their interest.
