1331 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IowaOnsite/ Remote/ Hybrid: OnsiteQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related fieldsRoles and Responsibilities:API Testing & Automation experience is a mustDesign, develop, and execute automated test scripts for REST and SOAP APIs using tools like JMeter, Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.Develop test plans, test cases, and perform automation testing for web services and backend APIs.Ensure API validation, response checks, and integration with automation frameworks.Ensure review and feedback process for automation scripts built by team members are done regularlyPublish automation status report to leadershipManual Testing: Conduct end-to-end manual testing for various features, ensuring functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans based on business and functional requirements.Knowledge of database testing with SQL queries.Perform bug tracking and reporting using tools like Azure, JIRA, Bugzilla, or any other defect management tool.Work in collaboration with teamWork with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, DevOps, etc.) to define and deliver high-quality software solutions.Assist in UAT testing and work closely with collaborators to ensure the quality of final product releases.Required Skills:Automation Tools: Extensive experience in API automation testing using tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.Domain knowledge: Must have Healthcare domain knowledge with experience in interoperability testing will be an add-onManual Testing: Solid experience in manual testing, with strong test case design, execution, and bug reporting.Programming Knowledge: Experience in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Groovy for test automation.CI/CD Integration: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including integrating test automation into build processes using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab.Version Control: Experience with version control tools like Git.Test Management: Proficiency with tools like Azure equivalent for test case management and bug reporting.Additional Qualifications:Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.Work Authorization:Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)Benefits:Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life InsurancePaid holidays plus Paid Time Off401(k) plan and contributionsLong-term/Short-term DisabilityPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Stock Purchase PlanCognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
