The Capital Markets group is expanding banking, sales, and trading capabilities, and is seeking a seasoned hands-on data analytics developer to join the front office Trading Services group. The role will be responsible for leading the design and development of advanced data analytics environments, business and performance analytics, and trade data analysis and trade desk and banking performance using interactive visualization tools and static reporting.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure relevant and accurate data is obtained from sales & trading systems and able to analyze and synthesis trading activity.Identify and resolve trading related data issues.Develop and expand capital markets business data environments.Develop and manage analytics and reporting for front office trading desks including profitability by desk, trader, cusip, client, cost of position funding, and identifying new trading opportunities.Maintain numerous data analytics reporting processes and becoming a subject matter expert on many large capital markets datasets. Data maintenance and analysis is critical for accurate management reporting.New projects will include partnering with bankers, sales, traders and management to solve complex analytics problems using large datasets, extensive ETL and scripts to create desired analytics outputs and reports.Visualized analytics reporting will be used to provide end users with insights and interactive environments to enable further refinement and data analysis.Custom report requests and ad hoc query creation will be frequent.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Technology, Mathematics, or STEM.5+ years’ experience in Capital Markets systems, trading processes and metrics and financial market data creating and editing python and SQL code, and managing ad hoc inquiries, reporting and dashboarding using SQL, Python, Tableau, Microsoft Excel.FINRA Series 7 License or ability to obtain with 120 days of hire date.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Experience with trading data analytics and a strong understanding of securities trading metrics (P&L, carry, cost of funds), with a primary emphasis on Fixed Income products.Experience with Capital Markets vendors and environments: Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Pershing, Clearing vendors, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, Dealogic, Ipreo, CRM, OMS.Strong leadership skills, with 5+ years’ experience leading or indirectly managing teams to deliver complex projects and develop analytics reporting.Strong technical skills in SQL and/or Python coding languages.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact Sales, Traders, Management, Operations & Technology representatives.Deliver outstanding results while demonstrating utmost in personal integrity and professional comportment.Academic background in programming and database related coding skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with working knowledge of SQL, Python (Pandas/Numpy), and interactive visualization tools (Tableau, Streamlit, PowerBI).Experience with AWS cloud environments, APIs, large datasets and files in S3, machine learning, real-time data handling and visualizations, comfort working with structured data stored in RDBMS or unstructured data, Kafka and/or messaging technologies.Experience using git (bitbucket), Jenkins / other CICD tools.Basic understanding or strong interest in capital markets and the role of analytics in driving capital markets business.Strong team & communication skills, deliver outstanding results while demonstrating utmost in personal integrity and professional comportment.Exempt Status:
