Job Description
Position Summary:
Provides full life-cycle development including requirements analysis and documentation, design, development, testing and implementation of applications that support business goals and then helps support these applications once they are in production. Participates in code reviews to ensure applications and processes support existing architecture, follows defined guidelines and coding standards and meets user requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides full product development lifecycle of software applications. Responsible for the development and unit testing of applications including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported. Participates in Support Systems/User testing.Collaborates with end users, provides exceptional customer service and becomes a trusted business adviser: 1) takes ownership of problems/tasks/projects and work them through completion, 2) identifies, analyzes and resolves performance bottlenecks related to system applications and interfaces in a timely manner.Works under a tech lead that would give direction and guidance, and work with other team members on completing projects, assignments, and tasks. Responsible for reviewing database design/changes with Database Administrators.Owns problems/tasks/projects and works them through completion. Monitors production applications and integrated solutions via production monitoring tools. Responds to and helps to resolve production issues as needed. Identifies, analyzes and resolves issues in a timely manner.Improves work function processes by working within the team structure. Participates in code reviews to ensure applications support the existing architecture and follow the defined framework guidelines and coding standards. Follows recommended change procedure and documentation practices for all work.Responsible for the proper security and disposal of any confidential information that they may possess in the course of performing this position’s job duties, in accordance with NRECA’s Personnel & Administrative Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies & Procedures Manuals.Direct Reports to this Position:

Formal Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.Education and Certifications Required:
3+ years of progressive application systems development experience utilizing a full SDLC2-4 years experience with programming/scripting language/tools required (as appropriate: JavaScript; HTML; XML; C#; ASP.NET; Extraction Transformation & Loading (ETL) and Business Intelligence Tools; IBM Cobol/CICS/VSAM/TSO; MS Sharepoint, Content Management Server, Biztalk)Experience in object oriented programming and/or agile development preferred.FLSA Status:

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
