HOW BEING A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT?Customer is seeking a highly motivated System Engineer to support an Agile software development team in building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise, cloud, web applications. Responsibilities will include tasks to support project management, software development, and system integration.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.6 years of experience
Required Experience:Responsibilities / Tasks
Serve as the Technical Liaison between the Customers and the Development Team.Support for System Requirements, including meetings with business stakeholders, Business Process Analysis, and requirement translation (e.g. mockups for GUI changes).Creation of requirements in Confluence and user stories in Jira.Decomposition of a process or large requirement into smaller, logical chunks.Engineering support for the development team, including requirements clarification, system architecture documentation, and workflow diagrams.Engineering support for the Division Staff, to include system road maps, investigating issues, and responding to inquiries, emails, and technical tasks.Support in responding to System Incidents and Alerts from monitoring tools.Testing support, including requirements verification and user acceptance testing.Support for escalated help tickets (tier 2), including triage, coordination, and resolutions.Backup Scrum Master.Support system certification requirements (e.g. Auditable Financial System certification, Security's ICD 503 certification), including documentation and annual contingency/disaster recovery actions.Performance monitoring of Production applications using integrated monitoring tools.Preparation and materials for presentations (e.g. PowerPoint).Configuration Management / Version Control of documentation (e.g. SharePoint).Written input for PMO Briefings (accomplishments, plans, issues, risks).Conduct project briefings & technical demonstrations.Management and coordination for new IT initiatives.
