What We’re Doing
Our most advanced radar systems are designed by our Integrated Warfare System and Solutions (IWSS) team and we are looking for highly talented individuals, like yourself, with a passion for RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology. We provide surface, air and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors.
The Work
In this position, you will be a responsible systems/software engineering leader for the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense product line groups in Syracuse NY, leading 16-22 systems/software engineers in the development of complex systems. Primary program support is for Army Radar products.Responsible for personnel management including staffing, administration, performance assessment, and feedback. Program area responsibilities include review and approving of functional proposal input and BOEs.Individual will own, execute, and status department level initiatives, and act as change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovation.The manager supports and oversees the development and execution of engineering efforts including ensuring cost, schedule, and technical milestones are met. It is expected that the Manager will be > 50% applied doing direct program tasking in some type of leadership and/or technical capacity within the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense radar product areas.Staffing responsibilities include the projection and planning of appropriate staffing levels, recruiting and selection of interns, contractors, college hires and experienced professionals.Facilitates and ensures technical vitality of functional team to meet current and strategic requirements.Fosters career development and employee growth as: Technical contributors, program leads, functional leaders, and future business leaders.Guides resolution of technical issues across programs within technical discipline.Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and product.Ensures appropriate Basis of Estimates are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates.Who You Are
You have experience in System/Software Engineering, such as system design and architecture, requirements analysis and management, systems integration and test, planning/execution. You enjoy leading people while also being involved in program execution.
