Material Handler

Key responsibilities (May include but not limited to):Presentable uniform appearance is required.Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping of the area assigned.Comply with safety, security and quality requirements.Prepare/check shipping documents.Label/stencil containersPost inventoryMaintain logs/appropriate forms.Load/unload packaged goods delivered via carrier.Inspect incoming/outgoing materials/containers.Verify unloaded material against shipping documents.Organize/rotate stock.Operate/maintain equipment.Operate scanner.Participate in spill response.Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):
High School education or equivalent (GED)Shipping/receiving related experience and/or training.Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulationsKnowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirementsKnowledge of chemical segregation requirementsFamiliar with QS-9000 conceptsKnowledge of appropriate regulatory/safety requirementsForklift experienceGood communication skillsOJT (Required within the initial employment period - varies per position and experience):
Applicable ADAGE skillsUnderstand all applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc.Knowledgeable of products and business strategiesFamiliar with the Responsible Distribution ProcessKnowledgeable of plant emergency and security proceduresProblem / crisis resolution24-hour HAZWOPER courseTraining requirements from the New Employee Checklist
