Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Pipe Foreman will be directing, supervising and assisting pipe crew members with the installation of water, fire, sanitary, and storm drainage systems installation.QualificationCompletion of High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have at least five (5) years of experience. Ability to follow specific directions. Ability to communicate and understand English. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; and evaluate information using measurable standards.Essential FunctionsSupervises, schedules, and coordinates daily activities of 4 to 5 people.Reviews submittals for accuracy and compliancy.Studies project specifications with project superintendent to plan procedures for pipe installation sequencing.Conducts weekly safety meetings, and attends cost/job reviews.Monitors labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepares time sheets and daily reports.Performs a wide variety of skilled related activities for the purpose of ensuring that issues are resolved and projects are completed in a safe, effective and timely manner.Operate various pieces of equipment.Responsible for crew safety. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes.
