summary Position: Electrician Pay: Position Requirements: Reporting directly to the Plant Electrical Engineer, the Electricians responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: This position will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical/electronic systems within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include following all local, state, and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment, operation, and safety precautions. Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and existing electrical wiring within the facility as well as working safely at all times. Maintain cleanliness of electrical shop and job sites, while practicing appropriate safety procedures. Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing. Performs other related duties as required The above information reflects the general job duties and should not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements Must hold valid Journeyman Electrician License in Texas Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various equipment: Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electronics Experience in a Food Production setting and working with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) from major brands required-skills: Position: Electrician Position Requirements: Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, the Electrician's responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and devices within the plantKnowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)Assist in new installations and upgrades of plant equipmentConduct process checks as requiredPerform regular safety inspections to ovensWork with outside contractors as needed to complete projects or various plant maintenance functionsKeep work area safe, clean and organizedAssist and support other production floor operations as requiredKeep Manufacturing Supervisor and Maintenance Manager informed of operational status of equipmentComplete all administrative tasks, including log books, data entry and record keeping in proper orderComplete training as identified for continual improvement and development in job related skillsPerform other job-related duties as assigned. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED 2+ years manufacturing experience and/or equivalent job experience Ableto work alternate work schedules including overtime based on business needs Able to use DVM, analog type multi-meter, Amprobe, megger, oscilloscope and soldering station Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Ableto read and interpret blue prints, schematics and manuals Demonstrate knowledge of basic troubleshooting and calibration for electronics Knowledge and understanding of OSHA's electrical safe work practices (e.g. Lock-out/Tag-out, NFPA 70 Electrical Code, NFPA 79 Machinery Standards) Preferred Requirements Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Journeyman's Card or other Electrical Technology Certification Experience programming and setting up, troubleshooting and diagnosingAllen Bradley PLCs Experience with HMI programming and set-up Knowledge of PLC Network programming and set-up Able to effectively use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) Knowledge of variable speed drives (programming and set-up) Experience withhigh pressure hydraulics and pneumatics Experience with automated material handling systems Experience troubleshooting magnetic controls (e.g. switches, relays and solenoids) Knowledge and experience terminating transformers and electric motors Basic knowledge of servo and stepper motors and drives Experience with installing and fashioning electrical conduit and installing electrical wireway and associated hangers Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
