We are currently searching for a motivated
Field Service Engineer . The Engineer will provide FANUC America customers with onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming or maintenance services for FANUC robots and related system peripheral equipment. The Engineer will work at one of our service centers or remote home office to coordinate activities and provide hotline phone support in between scheduled service calls. The Engineer must be able to travel to a customer site when scheduled or at a moment's notice to perform troubleshooting and repair functions on our robots and provide a service report at completion. This position will be home based when you are not traveling to customer sites.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipmentDiscuss, diagnose, document, and repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer or internal service hotlineProvide daily reports to the Service Supervisor to update status and availabilityComplete and provide a Field Service report for each assignment to the customer and FANUC HeadquartersWillingness to travel on a scheduled or moment's notice, on average 3-4 nights weekly to customer sitesIdeal candidate will have the following experience, skills and education:
High School diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent technical education, or relevant experience preferredMinimum of three years of experience working in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environment preferredMust have or be able to obtain a valid driver's licenseMust be able to drive throughout the organizations service area for business as requiredMechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experienceAbility to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentationKnowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment preferredExperience with FANUC application software and programming preferredAbility to lift up to 75 lbsAbility to do work in various industrial environmentsTravel within a respective region by auto/or air for at least 5 hours at a time; air travel as neededWe offer market competitive pay and benefits programs, as well as opportunities for advancement, knowledge and skill development, and recognition of individual achievements.
