$75,000 - $90,000 (up to $110,000 for highly qualified candidates)Hours:

Our client is seeking a
Sr. Accountant
to join our Finance team in Somerset, NJ. This role will focus on overseeing the technical aspects of accounting, with an emphasis on interacting with external auditors, working closely with our accounting team in India, and managing month-end and quarter-end processes. The Sr. Accountant will play a pivotal role as the front face for US business partners while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role is ideal for candidates who have strong technical accounting knowledge, US GAAP experience, and the ability to manage and communicate with remote teams effectively.Key Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting Oversight : Review and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes handled by our offshore accounting team in India. Act as the key point of contact for the US business partners on all accounting-related issues.Month-End & Quarterly Close : Oversee the month-end and quarterly close processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with US GAAP. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial data quickly.External Auditor Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any accounting or audit-related issues.Treasury & Inventory : Provide support in treasury functions and inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial reporting.Acquisitions : Assist with the accounting and financial reporting aspects of acquisitions, working closely with the business development and finance teams.Reporting & Process Improvements : Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data. Identify and implement improvements to processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Qualifications:Educational Background : CPA or CA (Chartered Accountant) is required.Experience :Strong
technical accounting
knowledge, particularly with
US GAAP .Experience with
Treasury
and
inventory
management.Previous experience working with
acquisitions
and
external auditors .Proven experience in
month-end close
processes.Experience with
Accounts Payable
and
Accounts Receivable .Solid experience with
SAP HANA (vs7)
or
Oracle
is highly preferred.
Skills :Advanced
Excel skills
(V-Lookup, Pivot Tables). Macros are a plus.Strong communication skills with the ability to manage remote teams and act as a liaison between US business partners and the offshore accounting team.

Pay Details:
$75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
