We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide contract, project management, and other legal support to the legal team supporting Amazon's global payments businesses. As a Contract Manager, you will be a key member of our team, helping us support clients around the world as we work to provide world class payment services and experiences to our customers.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick responses; support multiple internal clients; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also be customer-obsessed, have great attention to detail while meeting deadlines, great organizational skills and the ability to switch gears/topics at short notice. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.
Key job responsibilities
This person’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing simplification and legal automation projects, supporting with litigation and compliance matters, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, managing complex projects for the Payments Legal team, outside counsel management including support with budgeting and processing of legal invoices, business training on legal tools, general administration, and other tasks needed to support the business and legal teams.
The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a high attention to detail as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged.

The role supports a large and growing team of attorneys and legal professionals who represent Amazon's Payments businesses, located in multiple EU, UK and US offices.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with payments and financial services regulation and compliance
· Demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
· Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks of varying duration and complexity
· Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
· Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
· Project management experience
· Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
