POSITION SUMMARY:
Currently recruiting for 1st (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
The Warehouse Technician is based at the Totowa, NJ plant and reports directly to a Warehouse Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.Reconfiguring pallets by picking multiple ingredients in warehouse and re-stacking the full units of ingredients on different pallets. Full units may weigh as much as 55lbs.Weighing out various types of raw materials less than a full pack size according to formula. This entails using a scoop to transfer weight from one container to another.Work in an deliberate manner in order to achieve KPI's in specific areas set by supervision.Need to wear proper PPE depending on the types of material you are working with. They will be provided to you.Maintain positive attitude with a focus on the customer. teamwork, and quality productivity.Attend and participate in training and meetings.Engage in process improvements, make recommendations and suggestions to improve workplace safety, efficiency, and to better serve the customer.Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or its equivalent.Basic math and ability to read in order to follow formulas and SOPs.Experienced in performing electronic transactions due to physical movements of ingredients across the production facility.Able to drive a forklift, stand-up preferred*.Able to physically re-stack pallets with ingredients up to 55 pounds each.Work accurately and methodically.Good communication skills, including over two-way radio.Willingness to work second or third shift with occasional weekend shifts, and overtime hours as needed.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manufacturing plant is large, open floor areas with loud machinery, hearing protection is recommended for some areas. Workers are frequently exposed to high temperatures during the summer months. Some work in cold environments during winter months. Production/Warehouse areas are dusty.Dust masks, hair nets, beard nets, or gloves are worn. Certain activities require respirators.Workers usually stand for the majority of their shifts. Frequently lift a maximum of 55 pound units(boxes/bags).Climbing, balancing stooping, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
