POSITION SUMMARY
The Lift Operator is responsible for orchestrating the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of all guests while riding the ski lift. The Lift Operator will provide each guest with an engaging and safe experience while riding the ski lift. The Lift Operator must be prepared to make quick decisions to ensure safe operation of the ski lift and ticket validation. This is a seasonal position, paid at $20.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Greet and welcome each guest while loading and unloading the ski liftRespond to all guest inquiries in a courteous and friendly mannerFollow all lift opening and closing proceduresEnsure all safety signs, mats, seat pads, and safety cones are in place, clear, and safeKeep lift buildings and lift area well maintainedEnsure daily signage is up to date and clocks set properlyClose and open maze lanes for effective maze operation, assist in maze orchestrationGive verbal and non-verbal commands as needed to help guide guestsMust be able to make quick decisions regarding lift speed to ensure guest safetyEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or in progress
Experience: Previous lift operation experience preferred, not required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 16 years of ageReliable transportation to/from workAble to work outside during inclement weatherMust be able to lift 50 poundsMust complete Lift Operation training prior to workingAbility to communicate and problem solve effectivelyMotivated to provide great customer service
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
