Copywriter, Medical & Scientific Communications
We're searching for a Copywriterwho will be responsible for the conception, design, and execution of innovative visual materials for integrated, cross channel initiatives in healthcare advertising including: large web initiatives, online advertising, and digital marketing. Individuals should possess strong conceptual and design skills and assist the Creative Director in improving the conceptual, technical and creative performance of staff within his or her group.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with creative team members to determine concept, brand and copy directionsEnsure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and style guidelinesInteract with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographicsTranslate concepts into effective messages, ensuring messages can be supported by the science and dataCollaborate with art partners to simplify complex information in visual waysContribute to brainstorming and creative brief developmentWork on multiple projects simultaneously and juggle writing demandsPossess strong communication skills with a positive attitudeCan evaluate the work of Copywriters and Associates to ensure that the components of relevance are leveraged appropriatelyAbility to leverage the components of relevance in every program that you work onCheck alignment of relevance constantly and report misalignment to your EVPUnderstand the goals of every program that you work on and communicate those goals to the team consistentlyUnderstand the needs, motivations, and aspirations relevant to your audiencesQualifications
Bachelor's degree required. An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD) preferred.Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a creative healthcare agencyBrand launch experience preferredSolid understanding of marketing and advertising principlesStrong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives across mediumsExperience with online and offline media preferredCandidate must be open to travel as neededFlexibility, proactive working style, and accountabilityCan-do attitude coupled with a collaborative spiritProfessional maturity and accountabilityAn "always learning" mentality

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $103,700.00 - $172,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
