Overview:
Purpose:
To lead, develop, and coordinate the execution of all merchandise processing within an entire functional process or division of the operation, which consists of multiple departments. Provide leadership to management team and associates to ensure all service commitments and financial goals are achieved. Responsibilities: Core Accountabilities: Ensure functions operate effectively while meeting volume, service, and cost requirements. (to include accurate inventory records and low shrink) Analyze phases of the operation on an ongoing basis to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement. Organize, develop, and lead a fully functional and competent team that contributes to the achievement of company objectives and assures the future availability of qualified staff. Partner with colleagues to plan strategically ensuring that the present and future company performance will be appropriately focused and properly prepared for. Interact and communicate on a regular basis with corporate counterparts to ensure a seamless effort towards achieving the desired level of customer service. Collaborate with peers to formulate, administer, and maintain company standards, policies, and procedures. Leadership Expectations: Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; setting the example for leaders and associates. Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships; driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. Serve as a PACSUN advocate in the industry and marketplace. Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence. As a manager, serve as a leader of company culture, norms, and conduct. Ability to balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting assocaite feedback and interaction.
Qualifications: Education/Experience Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited school in Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field Minimum of five years experience in management in a distribution environment. Proven track record of providing leadership and motivation to a large group of associates Demonstrate ability to handle multiple high priority tasks, working within deadlines and strong sense of urgency Excellent analytical and decision making skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent presentation skills Proficient with computer applications including; MS Word, MS Excel, Lotus Notes. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
