Cisco Network Engineer

Job Description An Employer is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a direct-hire opportunity at a leading chemical manufacturing company, and they will be providing support on a global scale. This candidate will be responsible for monitoring the network firewall, assessing the functionality of the network routers, switches, site to site VPNs, and ensuring all internet security firmware is up to date. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Implement, upgrade, and maintain each component of the network on a global scale Set up, develop, and maintain computer networks within the organization and between organizations Design deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks (servers, routers, switches, APs) Design, implement, and support: firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access VPNs. Interact with vendors and contract companies to secure necessary network services and products. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. Monitor network performance, provide performance statistics and reports to stakeholders, act as escalation point for network troubleshooting The ideal candidates will be a Cisco Meraki specialized Network Engineer with at least a couple years of professional experience supporting all network components at an enterprise scale. They will have had prior experience working for a company that grows through mergers, integrations, and acquisitions. They will be willing to travel anywhere from 25-30% in the US and Canada. Skills and Requirements 2 years of professional experience as Network Engineer A minimum of 2 years' experience with Cisco Meraki (route/switch/access points) Experience supporting satellite locations/multiple manufacturing sites, understanding business requirements & supporting those end users.
