We are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our fast-paced manufacturing company. As a key member of the executive management team, the CFO will report directly to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.2. Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.3. Advise on long-term business and financial planning.4. Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.5. Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.6. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.7. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.8. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, pension funds and investments.9. Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.10. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Advanced degree or professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA) is highly desirable.2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven track record of success.3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and donors.8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.9. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.10. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
