Responsibilities
Assure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsite
Review subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirementsInspect work conformance to contract and design documentsUnderstand drawings and specificationsImplement the Three Phase Control SystemDevelop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reportsUse Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documentsProactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actionsStop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documentsVerify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklistsCoordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systemsDocument all tests and resultsCoordinate and document completion inspection processManage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBS OR MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management3 years construction experience; 1 year as QC Manager preferredStrong Microsoft Word and Excel userCMAA Certification preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong verbal and written skillsAbility to work in a team environmentGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
