The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is looking for a Janitor that will be responsible for maintaining the overall general housekeeping of the hospital.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sanitize clinic spaces, restrooms, and replace bathroom suppliesDust, mop, and wipe daily staircases and hallwaysTrash and medical waste disposalMove furniture (i.e. tables, chairs, file cabinets) up to 50lbsProvide support for inclement weather duties, including providing umbrella bags, setting up slip protection mats, and shoveling / salting the perimeter of buildingSet up for eventsQualifications:High School/GEDJanitorial Service Certificate of Education is a plusAbility to read and understand signs and labels written in EnglishSome similar experience preferredAbility to be flexible and able to perform more than one task at a timeAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to operate tools and equipment used in janitorial workMust have knowledge of proper use and care of mechanical cleaning equipmentKnowledge of OSHA and Safety requirementsOur comprehensive benefits package includes:Competitive salaryGenerous sign-on bonusGenerous paid time offTuition assistance50% discount on veterinary careContinuing education funds with rollover options403b matchingComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageYou may be eligible for The Public Loan Service Forgiveness Program as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit employerShifts
