Responsibilities
Responsible for the safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the environment.
Identify and report safety concerns through near misses and observations.
Always strive for zero waste, zero litter, and involvement in the recycling program.
Responsible for the quality of all processes and products that you encounter.
Be knowledgeable and fulfill all customer requirements.
Identify and report all quality concerns through to any supervisor or quality technician.
Be actively engaged in safety and quality programs.
Responsible for developing a safe and friendly work environment.
Make safety a #1 priority by example and team participation.
Drive changes and process improvement projects/programs in the manufacturing operation. These changes can include, but are not limited to, processes, products, and/or information processes.
Exhibit leadership in a variety of ways, most importantly in the sharing of information with all Injection Molding, Maintenance, and Tooling teams on the use and understanding of Scientific Molding Processes.
Understand direct role and effect on Machine Efficiency and Cost Reduction in the plant.
Implement required disciplinary action and all related documentation.
ossess job authority as defined in document control.
Interact with other manufacturing (maintenance, operations, engineering, shipping, scheduling, six sigma, etc.) and R & D functions.
End expertise and aid as needed to the maintenance, tooling, and setup teams.
Communicate effectively with all areas of the plant, setting standards for teamwork and mentorship especially in the injection molding area.
Remain flexible to the needs and demands of the work environment.
Accurately monitor and update operational metrics workbooks and spreadsheets (WebEFF, Cycle 105 spreadsheet, etc.) on a daily basis.
To perform Production Supervisor’s duties as defined by job description in the Supervisor’s absence or during weekend shifts.
Attend/complete all training courses as assigned by Management annually.
Other tasks and duties as deemed necessary or assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Ability to read Standard English.
Advanced injection molding processing skills with scientific molding knowledge.
Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including database, statistical, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Capable of explaining complex issues in a concise manner to employees and management.
Ability to make presentations to persuade other to accept a specific opinion or action, or provide information of instruction.
Communicate with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
Visual acuity to identify color variation.
Ability to make sound business decisions independently.
Recognize an emergency situation and take appropriate action.
Ability to work in noise, fume, and odor conditions.
