Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more!Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!As a Manager Trainee, the selected candidate will work across all areas of the facility throughout the year and be a vital part of the management team. Responsibilities:Ag Department (February - July)Assist with contracting of raw product, planting operations, scheduling, crop growth evaluation, and maturity evaluationCommunicate with growers, landowners, department leads, and other employees planting and harvesting progress, needs, and updatesDevelop an in-depth understanding of raw product flow including truck routing, product grading, and harvest planningLearn harvest equipment functions and raw product harvesting processUse leadership and team management skills in safety focused environmentOther duties as assignedPlant/Manufacturing (July - November)Observe and react to dynamic work environmentTrack and review record-keeping process during sweetcorn packDevelop an understanding of the many facets of the processing facilityUtilize skills as self-starter to champion your own projects and dutiesDevelop and build relationships with plant team relying on leadership and team management skillsParticipate in safety audits and implement changes or improvementsOther duties as assignedWarehouse (November - February)Gain understanding of warehouse activities, dry and frozenCoordinate inventory levels to match shipping needsWork with labeling planner and inventory coordinatorParticipate and assist with floor activitiesUnderstand and partake in ordering ingredients for future item codes/productsAssist with year-end inventoryCoordinate shipping and receiving traffic for dry and frozen warehousesParticipate in audits with safety teamOther duties as assignedQualifications:Excellent soft communication skillsBi-lingual skills helpful, but not requiredSelf-starting mentality and ability to work through a project with general overview of tasksGenuine interest to be taught and learn from others through observationA positive attitude and willingness to put others firstComfortable with Excel documents and record-keeping softwareStrong desire to take on challenges facing the companyInterest and ability to work outside the state of Minnesota in the futureDemonstration of strong leadership skillsExcels at time management and task prioritizationDesire and ability to think critically; demonstration of such skillAttention to detail in manufacturing environmentWe strive to attract and maintain a workforce that enriches our team experience and supports our shared vision for the future.
