Your day to day:
Manages the Material Planning, Inventory, and Shipping/Receiving teams.Ensures materials is available for use by the manufacturing team in line with the project requirement datesReviews and classifies occasional exportable deliverables in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as the Empowered OfficialApplies supply chain concepts using industry best practices and technical knowledge of supplier quality, logistics and production planning.Prepares and executes monthly inventory reports supporting production requirements to ensure continuity of the material requirementsCoordinates with procurement manager to ensure material requirements are correctly communicated and understoodResolves requests for assistance within the Materials value stream.Drives decisions that support internal/external programs, customers, and product/order commit datesOptimizes execution of the balancing and optimization for inventory turns, correct inventory mix of commodities and inventory controlMonitor, analyze, identify trends, and take action on Key Performance IndicatorsEnters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements for proactive steps to avoid material shortages or material expiration dates.Ensure that current inventory is properly reflected in the Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) systemLeads and monitors customer allocation and delivery schedules and projections within the integrated master scheduleProvide internal Program Office and project leads with timely communicationsLeads and drives continuous process improvement within all Materials Management related processesAdaptable, able to work in a constant change and dynamic production environment supporting high mix of SKUsSupports supplier's quality and critical path delivery requirements in support of key program milestonesEstablish and maintain critical working relationships with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality Assurance functional business areasParticipate and helps drive supplier development and management activity to achieve consistent cost reductions with leveraged buying strategies.Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or master's degree (preferred) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Materials Management and Procurement in a multi-functional team environment.Minimum 3 years in a leadership role with direct reportsExperience in data analysis and supplier performance metricsProficiency with the Microsoft Office tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and experience applying it is required; training for Empowered Official duties will be providedAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is preferredKnowledge of composite based products is preferredStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliersDepartment of Defense procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) is desiredProficiency with Microsoft suite.Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and procedures is preferred.Experience managing or monitoring supplier quality is preferred.US citizenship or equivalent.Salary: $90000 to $110000 per year
