Mechanical Field Service Engineer

What you'll do
Support commissioning, maintenance, operating, troubleshooting, and patching of pilot deployments both remote and in person using engineering expertise;Provide engineering support to Senior Field Operations Engineer and Product Deployment Manager to document and maintain maintenance plans and schedules, service manuals, and field service plans;Work with R&D to develop custom codes for steady-state and time-dependent simulation on the component and process levels and implement simulations of advanced thermal systems using specialized software and tools;Work with Product, R&D, and Manufacturing Teams to improve product offering;Provide engineering support to Senior Field Operations Engineer, Product Deployment Manager, and European team for Europe-based pilot deployments;Troubleshoot operation of pilots using engineering expertise and collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure pilot up time;Support development, fabrication, and testing of pilot and product units, as well as modification for EU deployment;Support prototype testing, physical twin performance, and reliability testingRequired qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field;Experience with the design, fabrication, and testing of thermal systems;Familiarity with specialized simulation software such as Engineering Equation Solver, Aspen Plus, Matlab/Simulink, GT-SUITE, or HTRI;Strong problem-solving and communication skills;Experience working in a lab environment;Ability to work independently and in a team environmentPreferred candidates have one or more of the following qualifications
MS in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field;2+ years of experience developing thermal systems and components;Experience in the HVAC and/or boiler industries;Proficiency with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar;
Travel required ~25% of the time.
