Triton is headquartered in the Greater Boston area.Triton Systems is seeking a Composites Engineer with structural, fiber-reinforced polymer composites knowledge and experience in design and manufacturing. Should have a strong background in innovative research and development and a desire to create exciting new products. Responsibilities:Project management and technical leadershipDesign and Analysis of composites structuresPresentation of results to customers (written and oral)Supervision and development of new technologies through research and developmentBusiness development through customer relationships and proposal writingManagement of external partners and suppliersRecognizing and solving complex problemsProject level ideation and technical development Qualifications:Hands-on experimental and fabrication experience with polymer matrix compositesFoundational understanding of structural and mechanical designExperience with the design of complex composite load bearing structuresFamiliarity with adhesive bonding and joint design for polymer matrix composites and metallic componentsIndustrial experience in (carbon-fiber/ Vglass-fiber reinforced) polymer composites manufacturing needed.Technical writing and proposal experience a plusEducation/Experience:BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.7-10+ years of experience working as a design engineering with a focus in composite materials.Experience in Finite Element Modeling of composite and/or metallic structures with industry standard codes (Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP/NASTRAN, etc...)Ability to execute engineering and design of structural fiber-reinforced composite materialsKnowledge of matrix resin and adhesive chemistries a plusExperience managing technical teams and directing projectsResearch and proposal writing experience a plusDue to the nature of our business and information associated with this position, interested candidates must be US Citizens Come join our success and grow with the strength of these fascinating new technologies.
