You will develop assembly processes and conduct various forms of analysis to enhance efficiency within our CAD/PAD Product Line. Your responsibilities will include liaising with customers and suppliers, designing tools, and providing manufacturing support for defense-aerospace propellant actuated devices. Under general direction, you will plan and execute engineering duties for major projects or those of moderate complexity, applying engineering principles and concepts effectively in your areas of specialization. This position allows you to be at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, where your contributions will directly impact our high-performance culture.Would you be a great Manufacturing Engineer I?To excel as a Manufacturing Engineer I at PTI Technologies, you will need a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college. Success in this role requires a strong ability to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods while enhancing work cells. You'll be responsible for maintaining and creating process documentation, analyzing workforce utilization, and designing efficient layouts for equipment and workspace. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will confer with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods and work with vendors to determine product specifications. You should also be adept at estimating production times, staffing requirements, and costs, providing critical information for management decisions.Additionally, applying statistical methods will help you forecast future manufacturing needs. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to Process Safety Management will be essential as you provide technical assistance to production personnel and ensure compliance throughout projects.Tasks you will be responsible for as a Manufacturing Engineer 1 - CAD/PAD are:Develop and evaluate and improve manufacturing methods while implementing or improving work cells.Maintain and create process documentation.Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Confer with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts and evaluates products according to specification and quality standards.Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for supervisor for management decisions.Confer with supervisor and other product or manufacturing engineers regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.Provide technical assistance to Production personnel as needed.Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Manager of Engineering.Ensures all elements of Process Safety Management are applied when designing or modifying equipment.Are you ready for an exciting opportunity?We believe in taking care of our team, both on and off the job.
