This position will fill a Toolmaker role with an added focus on Operation and Training within a specific focus (EDM, Machining, Grinding, etc.).Job Duties:Train qualified trainee's in the safe and proper use of equipment (i.e. EDM - Sinker, Wire, and Hole Popper, Machining - Machining Center, Hard Mill, Bridgeport milling machines, Grinding - manual grinders).Prepare molds for production.Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints; determine required machine operations; and consider the finish requirements for a taskInspect tools for defects and repair toolsWork with cross-functional teamsInspect products and select the correct shop equipment, precision measurement devices and other tools needed for jobPerform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensionsPractice safe machine shop practices and comply with safety standardsQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to train employees in the safe and proper use of equipment.Strong understanding of molds for production.Ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints.Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.Understand how to use shop equipment and precision measurement devices.Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensions.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
