Deliver outstanding, non-operative care to patients
Assess patients virtually and in-person to provide evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditionsEvaluate and treat patients in accordance with evidence-based protocols; in-office procedures when appropriateManage patients pre- and post- surgeryCollaborate with partner PCPs, Surgeons, Physical Therapists, and Health Coaches to provide care(Ideally) Perform peripheral joint and trigger point injectionsThis is a part time role starting at approximately 20 hours per week with possibility of more hours over time.
Requirements
Have relevant education, licensure, and time in practice
Are licensed to practice in the state of FloridaAre Board Certified (and ideally additional orthopedics/sports medicine/PMR trained) as a Physician AssistantHave practiced for at least 3 yearsAre philosophically aligned with our model of evidence-based musculoskeletal care
Believe that more care is not always better care and the rush to surgery, imaging, and drugs ultimately hurts many patientsWant to work in a collaborative care team environment with other physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and health coachesAre a flexible and collaborative colleague who is interested in helping to refine our care modelHave had relevant work experience
Evaluated and treated patients with a range of musculoskeletal pain conditions as well as complex medical conditionsWorked in an orthopedic, sports medicine, rehabilitation, or speciality care practiceManagement of pre- and post- operative casesUtilized new clinical technology at the point of care including telehealth solutionsTravel regionally as required
Travel Assigned Counties (Manatee) for the purpose of patient care in clinic settingsHave a valid Florida licenseHave valid vehicle insurance coverageHave reliable transportation
Spanish fluency is not required, but it's a plus!
